Openings are weather-dependent; if uncertain, call 401-423-3270.
Climbers must be at least 4 ft tall.
Climbers are strongly urged to consider footwear other than flip-flops.
Neither small children nor pets may be carried.
Climbers must be in line one-half hour before closing.
Both hands must be free for climbing. In addition to the 49 steps of the spiral staircase, a 7 ft ladder requiring both hands must be scaled to reach the observation catwalk.
A five-dollar ($5) donation is suggested for each adult climber.

    The plate fee is $42.50 and includes front & back plates. $20 of each order goes to the Beavertail Lighthouse Museum Association, and $22.50 goes towards the plate production. Payment can be made by check or credit card.

It is awarded in honor of W. Craig Armington, who served many years as an enthusiastic and hardworking member of the BLMA. Thus, the Beavertail Light and the BLMA continue to share a common goal of promoting learning, building awareness of our surroundings, and helping to preserve our environment. The student selected will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be applied toward college tuition, books, or fees related to the courses of study.
    Scholarship applications must be postmarked no later than April 7, 2025. Applications can be downloaded below. Copies are also available at the Jamestown Library
